Overview
Amidst the ever evolving nexus of urban landscapes and competing skyscrapers, especially true for the central business district of Singapore, one gets starved for human touch in their surroundings and seeks out rustic haunts to feel connected and reminisce about the good old times.

Rather than the the futuristic hub of glass buildings and cutting edge technologies that has become synonymous with Singapore, this project aims at showing everything but that like an antithesis. It serves as an attempt towards preserving the rich heritage and cultural significance of traditional streets, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in a nostalgic exploration of the past in a peaceful coexistence of the traditional in between the modern.

This photo series offers a captivating journey through history, exploring the timeless streetscapes of traditional Chinese lanes and alleyways by inviting viewers to immerse themselves in a nostalgic glimpse of the past.

As my first foray into street photography, I was left with a lesson on attention, observation and a present mind for experiencing the plenitude of moments worth capturing.
